I have come to believe in the advice I got and want to share it here :
1)Past should be treated as destiny.Whatever happened was destined to happen. It cannot be changed , so no sense thinking too much about it or brooding over past events. Accept them, learn your lessons and leave them behind. If possible , mentally tie up all your worries in a ball and kick it off. Sometimes i do that just before falling asleep.
2)Treat your Future as Freedom. We still have some control over what we want our future to be. So, go ahead, dream your future , plan for it, set short-term , medium-term and long-term goals. Without setting goals, I become dull and life becomes boring. Go ahead, challenge yourself , learn new skills , make plans for new good habits, Learn a new thing each day. Your future is just a minute ahead of you now.
3)Finally , learn to live in the present moment. Each moment and each day is a gift given to us. That is why its called "Present".Try to be completely immersed in each passing moment. Act without fear or doubt. Work for the sake of working , not for any rewards. Live to enjoy what you do. If not , do what you enjoy more. Realize the importance of time. While time is ever-changing, the soul is never-changing. So, what connects the ever-changing to the never-changing ?

Ever heard of Fever Ramayana ?
While travelling in my carpool yesterday from office to home, I heard a weird term on one of Bangalores FM Radio channels - "Fever Ramayana". I was wondering what could be the connection between these two words.Took me some minutes to figure out that "Fever" is the name of the FM channel we had tuned to.It was a sort of quiz where the questions were from Ramayana and the listeners could call up and answer them.
Well, looks like our journey has progressed (really ?) from "Valmiki Ramayana" to "Fever Ramayana". Not that am complaining as long as we learn some facts from our great epics. However , this got me thinking - what next ? Maybe "Mirchi Mahabharatha" from Radio Mirchi ? Lets wait and see .. so long till my next post.
